Slate roof repairs

The budget-friendly option. We focus on the specific problem areas and keep your roof and its parts in good working order.

Slate roof restorations

Every broken, cracked, sliding or missing slate replaced. Every flashing checked, gutters set right, and the whole roof cleaned.

Copper roofing & flashing

Copper roofs and flashing, fabricated and installed. Chimney flashing, valleys, ridges and vent pipes included.

Annual roof inspections

A once-a-year look, best in spring, to catch what the winter did before it turns into a leak.

Snow guards & ice belt panels

Keep snow from sliding off in sheets and ice from backing up at the eaves.

How an inspection works

We look hard, and we stay off your slates

  1. From the ground and the air

Slate is slippery, and walking on it can break worn or loose pieces. So we usually inspect without stepping on the roof itself.

  2. Slates, flashing and gutters

We note any cracked or missing slates and damaged flashing, and check your gutters for mold, mildew and moss.

  3. A clear plan

If we find problems, we tell you what we saw and schedule a time to come back and fix them.

Why spring?

Ice, snow and freeze-thaw cycles are hard on slate and flashing. An inspection each spring catches last winter's damage while it is still a small repair.

Slate questions

At least once a year, and after any severe storm.
