Slate is slippery, and walking on it can break worn or loose pieces. So we usually inspect without stepping on the roof itself.

Yes, slate roofs are repairable. Cracked, broken, loose or missing slates should be replaced promptly by an experienced slate roofer.
How often should I get my roof inspected?
At least once a year, and after any severe storm.

Do I need a whole restoration?
Not always. A repair targets the specific problem areas and costs less. A restoration goes over the entire roof. We'll tell you which one your roof needs.
